Project Shiksha
19th June 2019

Project Shiksha is proof that research is correct about Millennials and Gen Z being truly community oriented and wanting to make a difference. Project Shiksha is Maalavika and Jana’s idea to use the momentous occasion of their wedding as a platform to raise funds for 20 students from underprivileged backgrounds to help them pursue their higher education. Krishnan and I were thrilled with the idea and were rueing the fact that we didn’t think of it when we got married !!

#ProjectShiksha is a campaign for supporting 20 students with Rs. 25000/- each to pay for their tuition fees for a year. The campaign will be open from now till the 8th of September. The INR contributions can be made right here on ShikshaDaan’s website and for any contributions in foreign currencies, an aggregator called “LetsChange.org” will be used. The 20 students have already been identified and they are from our partner organization, “Udavum Ullangal”.

Maalavika and Jana would like to start their married life by making a meaningful contribution to 20 students pursuing their higher education and you can help them in this effort by donating towards it and spreading the word for it. Watch youtube.com/maalavikasundar and follow #ProjectShiksha for more details about the campaign.
