On 8th of June, Krishnan’s mother and my mother-in-law, Smt. Vedavalli Govindachari passed away peacefully in her sleep. For us the loss is irreparable but both Amma and Appa have taught us that every loss is an opportunity to learn something and help someone. So we decided to launch a scholarship in Amma’s memory. She always wanted to be a lawyer, so the scholarship is for one underprivileged girl student who has passed her 12th class and is wanting to pursue a degree in law.
Every year we will add a new scholar and soon we will have many young girls fulfilling Amma’s dream of becoming a lawyer by becoming one themselves.
