A Diwali release – NGA HR

For ShikshaDaan, this Diwali has been very special. For the first time, we have a batch of Udayan Shalini Fellowship program in Hyderabad, all thanks to NGA HR.

NGA HR is an organization that offers HR outsourcing and payroll services to its clients and it has two centres in India, one in Hyderabad and one in Kochi. I have been involved with the Hyderabad centre as a CSR consultant for the past year or so and I have been thoroughly impressed with their leadership team’s commitment to CSR. Whether it is Suresh or Raghu or Venu or Swapna – every time that I have been to their office, they have taken time out of their busy schedules to discuss what can be done for the community! Kiranmayi and Tejaswi need no prompting to put together their CSR newsletter every month. And the entire team needed no major convincing to setup the CAF payroll giving program … they were already contributing to different causes and this was just putting a structure to those contributions.

The NGA HR colleagues are actually an example to many other large organisations because they are just about 350 people and they pull out all stops when it comes to giving. The one constant question to me was to find a project that could be supported for the long term and it was something that gave an opportunity for all the colleagues to get involved. Well, Udayan Care’s Udayan Shalini Fellowship program ticks all the boxes so I suggested that they sponsor a batch of Udayan Shalinis.

Shrinkhla from Udayan Care did all the ground work and the NGA HR team got involved in the selection process as well. From 120+ applicants, 35 girl students have been shortlisted and the project is underway.
